Moscow Male Jewish Capella

with Kantor Uriel Granat
Saturday 09.11.2019 (Start 20:00 | Entry 18:30)

This choir is seen as one of the best of its kind. It was founded in 1989 with the personal support of Michail Gorbatschow. The singers are all professional musicians and originate from the big conservatories in Moscow, like the Tschaikowski conservatory. With its roots in the Jewish culture, as well as the Russian culture, the choir amazes audiences world-wide with it’s bandwidth of genres, reaching from classics of World Music to Jewish and Russian folk music. They have performed in front of the president of Russia, Israel, the United States, Poland and in front of several royal houses, including the ones in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The concert in the Synagogue in the Rykestrasse will definitely be one of the highlights of the Jewish Culture Days.
