The Tony award nominated artist Eleanor Reissa from Brooklyn is one of the few Jewish artists who learned the Yiddish language and music as a child. Grammy-winner and member of the famous Klezmatics and king of the Avant-Klez-Jazz, Frank London also originates from the same New York district and discovered his Jewish musical roots relatively late. His English speaking youth was influenced by rock’n’roll and Frank Zappa. Today, Eleanor and Frank are an amazing trumpet and singing duo, comparable to Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong. They are accompanied by Ron Caswell (tuba), Brian Drye (trombone), Patrick Farrell (accordion), Christian Dawid (clarinet) und Aaron Alexander (drums).
